Education Photos on the Home Page
These three photos were not staged. In each case, the children were photographed in natural, educational settings and they seemed to be genuinely happy.

Our Jacob's Black Logo
Our black and brown logo was named the “Jacob’s Black Logo.” The colors were chosen out of a recognition that some of the most successful products and highest grossing goods in the world have been black (or dark), hence the term “we’re in the black.” Dark prized commodities in recorded history include: oil; prized livestock; hardwood timber; coffee; cocoa; chocolate; Coca Cola!; and diamonds (formed from coal), and unfortunately, black slaves. Furthermore, the Jacob’s Black Logo design was taken from a story from the Bible from the life of Jacob, one of God’s most blessed patriarchs. Jacob was a herder who was known as a trickster. The Bible says he once told his father-in-law, who he worked for, that he would take his pay in the form of all the dark and dark-marked livestock that were born. This sounded like a good offer to his boss, but Jacob used a faith miracle and his trickery to get the dark, dark-spotted, and dark-streaked livestock to outbreed the lighter or white livestock. History tells that, in fact, he actually became a very rich man in livestock and in all things the proceeds from this could buy. The logo is a symbol of good fortune and faithful roots.

Red, White and Blue
The red and blue in our logo represent the stripes and bruises Jesus bore and His blood that was shed for all mankind on the cross for our sins and redemption. The white is for the bread which represents His body which was broken for us. We also chose these colours because they represent the dominant colours of the American, British and Canadian flags from which we derive our business aspirations. Additionally, we acknowledge a respect for the British Monarchy under which our business operates as a Canadian business, and we keep in mind the Queen of England’s religious title the “Defender of the Faith.” Special media inspiration comes from the U.S.A. The humble wish to bless our competitors... Canadian.

Scratch Logo
Our “WTL Scratch Logo” is an alternative to our main WTL International logo. It represents that we bring a different edge represented by the Scratch Logo’s raw handwriting that was sketched in mere milliseconds on rudimentary, ruled paper. We attempt to fill in the gaps left out by contemporary and traditional Christianity / society at times, which is far from the polished and politically correct face of our foundational inspirations.

Lion Symbolism
We use the lion on our homepage for the same reasons some countries used their version of the “Lion Rampant,” used by Scotland, or the lion on the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom. We like that the lion, in cultures across the globe signifies royalty, strength and dominion. Ultimately, we mean to refer to the Conquering “Lion of the Tribe of Judah,” which refers to Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Rounded Edges
The soft, rounded edges on the WTL International logo depicted here represent that WTL tries to use as soft and sensitive an approach as we can manage in communicating hard topics and when writing critically. We attempt to use terms acceptable for the topics we write on to ease and soften the delivery of the underlying messages. This better enables others to hear us and we better communicate our good intentions without resistance.

"W" "T" "L"
The “W,” “T” and “L” in our company name stand for the words “way,” “truth” and “life.” Jesus Christ said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and we think this is profound. We see the Way as the message of the gospel; the Truth as truths that help provide an understanding of life and themselves lead to the revelation of the truth of the gospel; and the Life as a higher quality of life that can be achieved when the Way and the Truth are established, and perhaps, eternal life. We feel Christ is at the centre of each of these and, often, the three are intertwined. We also chose the letters “WTL” because we noticed that many well-established organizations and institutions have been rooted in Jesus Christ. Whether it was a big hospital, university, private company or publisher, at least in North America where we are based, the longest-lasting and highest esteemed institutions all around us seemed to have started out as Christian endeavors. These include universities, hospitals and publishing companies. It seemed to be a good seed. We thought it only wise to root ourselves in the same foundation of Christ, naming the business “WTL International.” Thus, essentially, we named ourself after Jesus Christ.

Horn
We chose to include an angel blowing a horn at the bottom of our homepage because the horn (or trumpet) is one of those instruments that serves a very special purpose. The trumpet traditionally was used to communicate a message. Whilst many companies like ours serve to provide revenue-generating content, even some, great messages, we also add a passion for a life-changing message rooted in the Bible.

Saving Trees
We strive to use paper products from sustainable forestry programs when possible and to donate to tree-planting programs. A few of our authors are devoted to green initiatives even in their writings, in fact, some of our first authors. We recognize the disruption to wildlife that tree-cutting from key ecosystems can cause and prefer tree plantations. At the same time, we recognize our God is a God of abundance and holds great stores of what we need and also the blueprint for replenishment.

Rainbow Splash
The colorful or rainbow touches you might see in some of our designs signify a heaven-ward focus. They are to remind us to keep our eyes to the skies and think Godly things as much as we can.

Humming Bird
We chose to feature a hummingbird on the Contact Page because some hummingbirds in flight have wings that move so quickly that you hear them but cannot see them. The human eye can barely perceive the wings as the birds hover to collect nectar unlike in the photograph below where they are visible. This doesn't mean that the wings are not there. This is one thing we seek to remind the world, that one might not easily be able to perceive spiritual things but that doesn't make them any less real.

WTL Hot Cakes
Hot cakes: some products are to sell like hot cakes. The term “WTL Hot Cakes” is reserved for our products that do exceptionally well.

Fusion
We encompass all Christian denominations as one church, supporting the Catholic and the Protestant, the Orthodox and the Contemporary church. We do not strive to collapse any of the Christian denominations, but look at all of them like vital components to the body of Christ. This is as far as we understand the significance of denominations at this point in time.

We
We at WTL often use the word “we” in place of “I”. We mean to acknowledge that we do nothing on our own, but everything with the help of God Who is our direct report, so to speak. Furthermore, as a Christian-owned company, WTL International is an extension of the purified Church, which, in the fullness of time, and even today, is a great Company of believers. We tend to gravitate to the Protestant, Bible-based churches for our spiritual food.
